Loan calculators

Three calculators, one rule: they compute either the fee schedule written into state law or the standard amortization formula — never a lender's marketing estimate. No email, no soft pull, and the full payment math is shown on every page, not hidden behind a button.

The tools

Pick the question you are asking

Calculator What it computes Best for
Payday loan calculator Applies your state's actual statutory fee schedule — the legal maximum fee, the total owed and the equivalent APR for all 25 jurisdictions where storefront payday is legal. You want the lawful ceiling in your state, not a lender's estimate.
Installment loan calculator Prices the installment market's common sizes ($1,500–$5,000 over 12–24 months) at the 36% benchmark APR, with the credit-tier spread and the full precomputed table. You are comparing a licensed installment offer against the market ceiling.
Personal loan calculator A free-input amortization tool: any amount from $500 to $50,000, any APR from 6% to 36%, any term from 6 to 84 months — with the complete month-by-month payment schedule. You have a real offer in hand and want its true total, or you are sizing a loan before applying.

One method behind all three

Every calculator here answers the same question in the only honest currency: the total you repay. The payday tool reads each state's statute and converts the legal fee into an equivalent APR at that state's term — so the number changes by state because the law changes by state. The installment and personal tools use the standard amortization formula, payment = P × r ÷ (1 − (1 + r)−n), at rates matched to real credit tiers — so the number changes because the math changes. Neither ever invents a lender's quote: offers come from lenders' own written disclosures, and these tools are how you check them.

Beyond the three tools above, every one of our 51 state law guides carries an interactive statutory calculator sized to that state's own caps — the same math the payday tool runs, scoped to where you live.

Questions people ask about our calculators

Are these loan calculators free?

Yes — every tool on this page runs in your browser and costs nothing. No email, no account, no "estimated rate" lead forms: the calculators compute either the statutory fee schedule written in state law or the standard amortization formula on the numbers you enter.

Do these calculators affect my credit?

No. Calculating a payment reads nothing from your credit file and leaves no record. Credit is only touched when a lender checks it — and by then you should be comparing written APR and total-of-payments disclosures, which is exactly what these tools prepare you for.

Why don't the calculators show me lender offers?

Because this site maps the law, not the market. LendMap USA computes legal ceilings and standard amortization — the numbers every compliant lender must stay inside — so you can judge any offer before you see one. Where the products are legal, a partner application form can match you with licensed lenders; the calculators themselves never ask for your details.

LendMap USA is an information platform, not a lender: the calculators compute the law and the arithmetic — they are not offers of credit.
